Life Certificate: These pensioners can submit life certificate from October 1, Government gives relief

Life Certificate: All the pensioners of the Central Government have to submit their Life Certificate every year in November so that their pension continues to be received on time. 

Life Certificate: The government has given a special facility to the elderly pensioners of 80 years and above. The government has given a special facility to the elderly pensioners of 80 years and above. These pensioners can submit their life certificate from October 1 itself. Whereas, for other pensioners this process starts from November 1. What is Jeevan Pramaan? Jeevan Pramaan is a digital certificate, which is prepared through Aadhar card and biometric (fingerprint or eye scanning). This certificate eliminates the need for pensioners to go to the pension department every year to prove that they are alive. It can be submitted online and it is valid under the Information Technology Act. This facility is easy for elderly pensioners. So that, they do not face any problem in the pension process.

Last date for submission of life certificate

Senior pensioners aged 80 years and above can submit their life certificate from October 1, 2024. Other pensioners will start submitting it from November 1. Usually its last date is 30 November. However, the government can also extend it.

What will happen if the life certificate is not submitted on time?

If pensioners do not submit the life certificate by November 30, then their December and further pension will be stopped. Later whenever the life certificate is submitted. After that, as soon as it is updated in the pension system, the full pension and outstanding amount will be available in the next payment. If the life certificate is not submitted for three years or more, then the approval of the concerned authorities will be required to resume the pension.
