7277 crores to PM e-bus service
The central government has started the Pradhan Mantri e-bus service to improve the urban traffic system in the states. E-buses are being run in 15 cities of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Aligarh, Meerut, Agra, Mathura-Vrindavan, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Ghaziabad, Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya and Moradabad.
How much amount is allocated for UP in PM e-bus service?
It is estimated that Uttar Pradesh will get Rs 7277 crore as its share in the amount allocated by the central government in PM e-bus service. It is clear from this that while the fleet of e-buses will increase further in these 15 cities of Uttar Pradesh, running buses can also be considered in other cities. Along with this, the path to build e-charging stations for e-buses will also be smoothened, which will provide people the facility of charging electric vehicles.
