Liquor shops will remain closed on 30 October in the capital Delhi. Dry day has been announced in Delhi on 30th October by the administration. Delhi LG VK Saxena has declared Chhath Puja as dry day in the national capital on Sunday, 30 October.
Delhi government has increased the number of dry days
The Delhi government has increased the number of dry days to 21 in its excise policy. Earlier, the Delhi government had decided to close the liquor shops for only 3 days in a year. In which the days of 15 August, 26 January and 2 October were included.
But later the Delhi government decided to increase the number of dry days to 21 again with the closure of liquor shops on festivals like Dussehra, Deepawali, Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Valmiki Jayanti.
Bar will be open
According to the news going on in the media, the Excise Department of Delhi Government had also issued an order in this regard. It was told in this order that Dussehra on October 5, Eid-Milad-un-Nabi and Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti on October 9, Diwali on October 24, Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 8, the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur on November 24. Liquor shops will remain closed. However, hotels, clubs and restaurants serving alcohol will remain open during this period. Alcohol is not allowed in hotels, clubs and restaurants on 3 days Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti.
