The timing of opening and closing of all liquor shops operating in the district has now changed. All liquor shops will now operate from 9 am to 9 pm. Collector Pushpendra Kumar Meena has issued an order in this regard. Earlier, liquor shops used to operate from 10 am to 10 pm.

According to the order issued by the collector of closing of liquor shops, this change has been made on the instructions of the Excise Commissioner, Government of Chhattisgarh. Now all liquor shops will open at 9 am instead of 10 am. Whereas instead of closing at 10 pm, it will now close at 9 pm. This order will be applicable to the local and foreign liquor shops in the district.
