Lok Sabha Election Date 2024: The Election Commission has announced the dates of Lok Sabha Elections-2024. According to the announcement of the Commission, voting will be held in 7 phases from April 19. After this, counting of votes will take place on June 4 and the results of the election will be declared. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar announced the schedule of Lok Sabha elections. Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and SS Sandhu and other senior officials were present on this occasion. The Election Commission had already informed that the program for the Lok Sabha elections will be announced today i.e. on Saturday.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Dates: The Election Commission had said in a post on social media platform ‘X’ that a press conference will be held at 3 pm on Saturday to announce the schedule of Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections in some states. It is noteworthy that the tenure of the current Lok Sabha is ending on June 16 and the new Lok Sabha is to be formed before that. According to the Election Commission, voting will be held in the first phase on 19 April, in the second phase on 26 April, in the third phase on 7 May, in the fourth phase on 13 May, in the fifth phase on 20 May, in the sixth phase on 25 and in the seventh phase on 1 June.

The tenure of the assemblies in Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Odisha is ending on different dates in June. Last time the Lok Sabha election dates were announced on March 10 and voting was held in seven phases from April 11. The counting of votes took place on 23 May. About 97 crore people are eligible to vote in the upcoming elections at more than 10.5 lakh polling stations. 1.5 crore polling employees and security staff have been deployed for this. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that voters above 85 years of age and those with 40 percent disability can vote from their homes if they do not want to come to the polling station. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that Rs 3400 crore was seized in the last 11 elections. This entire amount has increased by 835 percent.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Dates: ast parliamentary election

In the last parliamentary elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 303 seats while Congress got 52 seats. She was not able to muster sufficient numbers to gain the post of leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha. The upcoming parliamentary elections are being seen as a ‘do or die’ contest for the opposition alliance ‘I.N.D.I.A.’ (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance).
