- First of all go to the official website https://www.nvsp.in/.
- On the homepage you will see New registration for general electors, click on it.
- After this you will have to sign up.
- After this, enter all the details asked there.
- Now you will have to register by entering your mobile number, password, captcha and OTP.
- After this submit Form 6.
What to do if you lose your voter ID
If your Voter ID card is lost somewhere then you can download it by visiting the official website.
Download Voter ID card like this
- First of all go to the official website https://www.nvsp.in/.
- There you will see the option of ‘Login’, click on it and enter mobile number, password and captcha.
- After this an OTP will come on your phone, click on ‘Verify & Login’ there.
- After this click on ‘E-EPIC Download’ tab.
- Here you have to enter your EPIC number and select your state.
- You will see the ID card on your screen.
- There the option of ‘Download e-EPIC’ will be visible on the home page.
- Download it.
Even if you do not have a Voter ID card, you can still cast your vote using many government documents issued by the Government of India.

How to check name in voter list?
If you want to check whether your name is in the voter list or not, you can call the Election Commission website https://eci.gov.in/ or voter helpline 1950. Apart from this you can call helpline number 1950. Apart from this, to add your name in the Voter ID list or to make any kind of change, you can make changes by visiting https://eci.gov.in/.
- First of all go to the Voter Service Portal.
- Visit ‘https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/‘ on your phone, PC or laptop using any web browser.
- Select from the available options to find your name in the voter list on the page.
- You will see three options – Search by Details, Search by EPIC and Search by Mobile.
‘Search by Details: Enter required details like name, surname, date of birth etc. - Then enter the captcha and press search button.
- Search by EPIC: Select Language, EPIC Number (you will find it on Voter ID Card),
- State, Captcha and click on Search button.
- Search by mobile: Select state and language. Then enter the registered mobile number with Voter ID and captcha and press the search button. If your name appears in the search result, your name is in the electoral list and you can cast your vote, provided you have your voter ID card.
When will you be able to apply?
Let us tell you that after the implementation of the code of conduct, names can be added to the voting list for about 10 days. That is, if someone’s name is not added in the voter list. So he has time till March 26 to get his name added.
