It is the right to choose the representatives who will lead the country in the future. If you are eligible to vote in India but have not yet registered, you must do this first to participate in the democratic process.
Online registration
Visit the official website of National Voters Service Portal and collect Form 6. Fill your form and submit it to the local election registration officer. Your application will be approved after review. Your name will be included in the voter list. Once your application is reviewed and approved, your name will be added to the voter list. There are three types of voter lists. First, there are three categories of voters: General Voter, Foreign Voter (NRI) and Service Voter.

After submitting your application, go to the election website and enter your ID to see if you are registered. You can also edit your information on the website as per your requirement.
Offline Registration
Go to the nearest Booth Level Officer (BLO) and collect Form 6. Complete the form and submit it along with your graduation certificate, birth certificate and Aadhar card. Two passport size photographs and a photocopy of the voter ID card of the family member are also required. If any member of your family does not have an ID, you can use a neighbor’s ID. After you submit, the verification department will review everything and you will get a voter ID card.
Necessary Forms
Form 6 is used by general voters. This form can also be used by new voters and people changing seats. That is, changes can be made when an area changes. Form 6A can be used by NRIs. Use Form 7 to update your information in the electoral roll. You can use Form 8 to update personal information like your address, name, photograph etc.
