The government is considering two-way rules in cylinder subsidy. First, people should be given LPG cylinders without subsidy. However, no statement has been given by the government on this entire issue. Let us tell you, the Central Government had stopped giving subsidy to the people from May 2020 on LPG cylinders.


Subsidy burden reduced from head to head

There has been a decline in the expenditure by the government through subsidy in 2020-21 as compared to the financial year 2019-20. In 2020-21, the central government spent Rs 3,559 on subsidy. At the same time, Rs 24,468 crore was spent in 2019-20.
