LPG Composite Cylinder is made in three levels. In which there is a layer of high density polyethylene (HDPI) inside the first. This inner layer is coated with fiberglass made from polymers. Its outer layer is also made of HDPE. That is, these cylinders have been made with complete safety.
LPG composite cylinder is made of steel. It is heavier than the compact cylinder. This compact cylinder has many more features, which are much better than a regular steel cylinder.

How much will it cost to get a new cylinder? Â
- A security deposit has to be made with the gas agency to get the composite cylinder. Rs 3,350 for a 10 kg LPG composite cylinder and Rs 2,150 for a 5 kg cylinder.
New cylinder instead of old cylinder
- Most importantly, you can get your old steel cylinder replaced with a new composite cylinder. If you are an Indane customer, go to your gas agency with your steel cylinder.
- Along with this, keep the subscription paper for gas connection with you. The amount you have spent on getting the connection of your old cylinder will be deducted from the cost of the composite cylinder.
- For example if you have paid Rs 2000 for Indane earlier. So you have to pay Rs 3350 – 2000 = Rs 1350 for composite cylinder.
- This price is for 10 kg LPG Composite Cylinder. If you want to take 5 kg cylinder, then you have to pay 2150 – 2000 = 150 rupees.
