new Delhi. The prices of domestic LPG cylinders (LPG) have been increased after about five months. Government oil companies have released new rates of LPG cylinders on Tuesday, in which there has been an increase of Rs 50.
It is worth noting that in view of the assembly elections being held in five states including UP, the companies had not increased the prices of LPG for almost five months. Earlier, on October 6, 2021, the last change in LPG prices was done. After the elections, the companies have once again decided to increase the LPG prices.
949.5 Price in Delhi
After the increase in LPG gas cylinder, on Tuesday 22 March, a 14 kg gas cylinder in Delhi has become worth Rs 949.5. Earlier it was Rs 899.50. Apart from Delhi, LPG prices have also changed in other metropolitan cities. Its price in Kolkata has increased from Rs 926 to Rs 976. Domestic gas cylinder is now available in Lucknow for Rs 987.5, while in Patna it has increased from Rs 998 to Rs 1039.5.
Decision taken after rising crude oil prices
Government oil companies had not made any change in the prices of LPG cylinders for the last five months. During this, the prices of crude continued to rise. Crude is still getting above $100 per barrel in the global market. To reduce this pressure, companies have increased the price of LPG by Rs 50. Since March 2021, LPG prices had increased by Rs 81.
5 and 10 kg cylinder too expensive
Oil companies have not only increased the prices of domestic gas cylinders, but have also increased the prices of 5 kg and 10 kg cylinders. Now a 5 kg LPG cylinder will be available for Rs 349 and 10 kg for Rs 669. Not only this, the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has also reached Rs 2,003.50.
