LPG Price From Delhi To Patna: Even after the latest reduction in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders by the government, its price in Patna, the capital of Bihar, remains above Rs.1000. Till now, 14.2 kg cylinder was being sold for Rs 1201, which has now come down to Rs 1001.
Just before the Rakshabandhan festival, the Narendra Modi government at the Center had a major reduction in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders on Tuesday, giving great relief to the people. Under this, the price of 14.2 kg cylinder was reduced by Rs 200 in the country. The benefit of this deduction has been given to the common citizens as well as the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana. The subsidy they get on gas cylinders has now doubled. The new rates of LPG Cylinder have been implemented from today. Domestic cylinder now in less than Rs 1000
According to PTI, the central government on Tuesday announced a reduction in domestic cooking gas prices by Rs 200 per cylinder to counter Congress’s promise of cheap LPG in the upcoming assembly elections in states like Madhya Pradesh. After this reduction, while the price of domestic LPG cylinder for common consumers has now come down to Rs 1000, the beneficiaries will get a subsidy of Rs 400 instead of Rs 200 on LPG cylinders given under the Ujjwala scheme.
LPG cylinder now Rs 903 in Delhi
Till now the price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder in the capital Delhi was Rs 1103, but after getting a discount of Rs 200, now this cylinder is available in Delhi for Rs 903. Along with this, the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana in Delhi are getting it for just Rs 703 after the subsidy is doubled. Explaining the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur had said that the purpose of this step is to provide relief to the families.

Most expensive cylinder in Patna:
According to the new prices fixed by the government in various states of the country after the reduction of Rs 200 per cylinder, the price of domestic gas cylinder is still the highest in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Where in other states of the country its price has come down below Rs.1000, then in Patna it will be available for Rs.1001. Please tell here that the prices of domestic gas cylinders in the country were unchanged for a long time. The last change in these was done in March 2023, when its price was increased by Rs 50 per cylinder.
75 lakh new LPG connections also announced
Apart from giving a big gift of Rs 200 deduction to LPG consumers on Rakshabandhan, the Union Cabinet also approved the proposal to give 75 lakh new connections under the Ujjwala Yojana. According to Union Minister Anurag Thakur, while reducing LPG prices will benefit 33 crore consumers of the country, however, this will increase the burden of 7,680 crores on the exchequer in the financial year 2023-24. Let us inform here that the number of beneficiaries of this government scheme Ujjwala Yojana, which was started on May 1, 2016, is 9.60 crore till now, which will now increase to 10 crore 35 lakh.
