The small relief of Rs 7 in the rate of LPG gas cylinder today is only for the consumers of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder. There has been no change in the price of domestic gas cylinder i.e. 14 kg LPG cylinder since August 1, 2024.
According to the latest rate released by Indian Oil, from today, February 1, a 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has become Rs 1797. It was Rs 1804 in January. In Kolkata, the same commercial cylinder will now be available for Rs 1907 instead of Rs 1911. The price of LPG cylinder in Mumbai is now Rs 1749.50. Here this commercial LPG cylinder was available for Rs 1756 in January. The price of 19 kg blue cylinder has also changed in Kolkata. Its price here is now Rs 1959.50 instead of Rs 1966.
Domestic LPG Cylinder Price
There has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinder even on the day of Budget 2025. In Delhi, 14 kg LPG cylinder is available at the rate of August 1. Today, on February 1, it is still being sold for Rs 803. At the same time, in Lucknow, a 14 kg LPG cylinder costs Rs 840.50 and a 19 kg commercial cylinder costs Rs 1918. The price of LPG cylinder in Kolkata is Rs 829, in Mumbai Rs 802.50 and in Chennai Rs 818.50.
Trend of LPG rate on budget day
On the day of budget 2024, the price of commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi was Rs 1769.50, in Kolkata Rs 1887, in Mumbai Rs 1723.50 and in Chennai Rs 1937. This 19 kg cylinder became costlier by Rs 14 on the day.
If we talk about LPG cylinder on the day of budget 2023, then the price of commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi was Rs 1769.00, in Kolkata Rs 1869, in Mumbai Rs 1721 and in Chennai Rs 1917. There was no change in the rate on this day.
Commercial cylinder became cheaper on Budget Day 2022. According to the rate released by Indian Oil before the budget, on February 1, 2022, the 19 kg cylinder in Delhi became cheaper from Rs 1998.50 to Rs 1907. In Kolkata, it came down from Rs 2076 to Rs 1987.
