LPG Price 1 April: The new financial year has started from today and on its very first day there has been a big relief on gas prices. The prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders have been reduced, while the prices of domestic gas cylinders remain the same.
LPG Price 1 April: Today, on the first day of the new financial year, LPG cylinder consumers have got relief. LPG cylinder rates in Delhi have reduced by Rs 30.50 from today. LPG cylinder has become cheaper by Rs 32 in Kolkata, by Rs 31.50 in Mumbai and by Rs 30.50 in Chennai. The rate of LPG has been reduced only in commercial cylinders. There has been no change in the price of domestic cylinders this month.
According to IOC, a 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi will now be available for Rs 1764.50 from today. Earlier it was at Rs 1795. In Kolkata it will now be available for Rs 1879.00 instead of Rs 1911. Now in Mumbai it has become Rs 1717.50, earlier it was Rs 1749. Commercial LPG cylinder will now be available in Chennai for Rs 1930.00.
Rates of Lucknow, Jaipur, Agra
Today the price of domestic LPG cylinder in Agra, Uttar Pradesh is only Rs 815.5, but now the rate of commercial cylinder has come down to Rs 1811.5. Today in Lucknow, domestic LPG cylinder will be available for Rs 840.5 while commercial gas cylinder will be available for Rs 1877.5. Domestic LPG cylinder in Jaipur, Rajasthan is Rs 806.50. On the other hand, a 19 kg cylinder has now become cheaper by Rs 1786.50.
Cylinder becomes cheaper from Patna to Ludhiana
The price of commercial cylinder in Gurugram has come down to Rs 1770. Whereas, the price of domestic cylinder remains stable at Rs 811.50. In Ludhiana, Punjab, a 19 kg blue cylinder has come at Rs 1835.50. The rate of domestic cylinder here is Rs 829. Cylinders have also become cheaper in Patna, Bihar. In Patna, commercial cylinder will be available at Rs 2039 from today while domestic cylinder will be available at its old rate of Rs 901.
The cut in commercial cylinder rates will provide some relief amid the Lok Sabha elections. On Women’s Day in March, the government gave a big gift to the consumers of domestic cylinders. On March 8, there was a big cut in the prices of LPG cylinders for the second time in six months. After reducing the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 200 on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the government further reduced the rate of domestic cylinder by Rs 100 on March 9. The price of 14 kg domestic cylinder became Rs 803 in Delhi. Even today it is available at this rate.
