LPG Price Cut 1 April 2025: Tuesday has brought relief for LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) consumers today amid Navratri. One of the many changes to be made on April 1 is also the LPG price. Today, oil marketing companies have released new rates for LP cylinders. According to the new rate, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by about Rs 45. Today this cylinder has become cheaper from Delhi to Kolkata. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic gas cylinder i.e. 14 kg LPG cylinder. It has remained stable since August 1, 2024.
Where LPG gas became cheaper and how much
According to the latest rate released by Indian Oil, from April 1, 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has become cheaper by Rs 41 and now costs Rs 1762. Earlier it was Rs 1803 in March. Whereas, in Patna it is Rs 2031. Whereas, the price of domestic cylinder here is stable at Rs 901.
In Kolkata, the same commercial cylinder was Rs 1913 in March. Today it has become cheaper by Rs 44.50 and now costs Rs 1868.50. The price of LPG cylinder in Mumbai has now come down from Rs 1755.50 to Rs 1713.50. The price of 19 kg blue cylinder has also changed in Kolkata. Its price has come down to Rs 1921.50 here. It was Rs 1965.50 in March.
What does the April price trend of LPG cylinder say
If we look at the April price trend of commercial LPG cylinders, the prices have increased thrice in the last six years and decreased the same number of times. On April 1, 2024, 19 kg LPG cylinders became cheaper by Rs 30.50 in Delhi, Rs 32 in Kolkata, Rs 31.50 in Mumbai and Rs 30.50 in Mumbai. On April 1, 2023, people also got relief when the price of this blue cylinder fell by Rs 91.50 in one go from Rs 2119.50 to Rs 2028.
Three years ago, it had increased by Rs 249.50 in one go
Earlier in 2022, April witnessed the biggest jump. On April 1, 2022, the price of commercial LPG cylinder jumped from Rs 249.50 to Rs 268.50 and reached Rs 2406 per cylinder. Earlier, on April 1, 2021, it also increased from Rs 27 to Rs 41. Prices reached Rs 1771.50 as compared to March.
If we talk about 2020 and 2019, on April 1, 2020, the price of commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi fell by Rs 96 to Rs 1285.50. Whereas, in 2019, the price increased by Rs 68.50 to Rs 1305.50.
Domestic LPG Cylinder Price
In Delhi, 14 kg LPG cylinder is available at the rate of August 1. Even today, on April 1, 2025, it is being sold in Delhi for Rs 803. At the same time, in Lucknow, a 14 kg LPG cylinder costs Rs 840.50 and a 19 kg commercial cylinder costs Rs 1918. The price of LPG cylinder is Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.50 in Mumbai and Rs 818.50 in Chennai.
