LTC Rule Changed: Giving benefits to government employees under LTC, they have been allowed to travel by Tejas, Vande Bharat and Humsafar trains.

LTC Rule Changed: The Government of India has given a great gift to the government employees of the country. Now under Leave Travel Concession (LTC), government employees will be able to travel in luxury trains like Vande Bharat and Humsafar as well as private trains like Tejas. This decision has been taken with the aim of improving their travel facilities during the journey. This decision has been taken after the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) received many suggestions about including more premium trains in the LTC scheme.

Now these trains have also been included in LTC

Earlier, government employees could travel only by Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express and Duronto Express under LTC. Now according to the new order of DoPT, now government employees will be able to travel in Tejas Express, Vande Bharat Express and Humsafar Express as per their eligibility.

What is LTC?

LTC or Leave Travel Concession is a government facility provided by the Central Government, which is provided to Indians for traveling on their holidays. Under this, some part of the travel expenses of the employees is refunded by the government. This facility is for central government employees and its purpose is to encourage employees to travel with their families during holidays.

There are two types of LTC

LTC is of two types, one is hometown LTC and the other is All India LTC. In hometown LTC, you can travel to your hometown with your family twice in every block of four years, while in All India LTC there is a facility to travel to any part of the country. Under LTC, you will be able to claim for reimbursement of the money spent on traveling by rail, road or air. Apart from this, you will not be able to claim for reimbursement of the amount spent on hotels, food and drinks or excursions.
