Market witnesses smart rally as realty, auto gain; 100 BSE stocks hit new 52-week low

The Indian benchmark indices have extended the morning gains in this afternoon session with the Nifty50 jumping 100 points, trading at 10,649 while Sensex was up 328 points and is trading at 35,478.

The breadth of the market favoured the advances with 1,372 stocks advancing and 301 declining, while 388 remained unchanged. On the BSE, 1,750 stocks advanced, 583 declined and 130 remained unchanged.

Nifty Auto, along with infra, metal and realty stocks, were the stocks which gained the most following a volatile day on Tuesday.

Around 18 stocks from the BSE hit new 52-week high in the afternoon session led by Gujarat Poly which jumped 8 percennt followed by MAC Hotels which gained over 5 percent. The other stocks to hit the 1-year high mark included Franklin Industries, Orient Tradelink, Sakuma Exports, Aryaman Capital and Darjeeling Ropeway Company among others.

From the NSE, only four stocks managed to hit the 52-week high level led by Gangotri Textiles which spiked 5 percent followed by Tube Investments of India, JHS Svendgaard and Sakuma Exports.

Close to 100 stocks hit fresh 52-week low on the BSE on Wednesday afternoon including names like Baron Infotech which shed 5 percent followed by BKM Industries, Nexus Commodities and Technologies, Rolta India, KCCL Plastic, Ashapura Intimates and Tantia Construction among others.

The stocks to have hit the new 52-week low mark on the NSE were ABG Shipyard, Gayatri Highways, Punj Lloyd, IL&FS Transportation Networks, Nagarjuna Fertilizers, Raj Rayon Industries, Rolta India, Sumeet Industries, Techno Electric & Engineering and Rushil Decor among others.
