BSP chief Mayawati has reacted strongly to the oppression of Dalits in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the government should take strong action against the culprits.
Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has reacted strongly to the Dalit oppression in the state. Mayawati has broken the silence on the atrocities with Dalits in Jaunpur and Azamgarh. They have said that strict legal action should be taken against them irrespective of their religion and caste.
Mayawati tweeted, whether in UP, whether in Azamgarh, Kanpur or any other district, especially in the case of harassment of Dalit sister-daughter or other sister or daughter of any other caste and religion, it is a case of harassment. Whatever condemnation is done, it is less.

Mayawati said that no matter who is the biggest leader of any religion, caste and party and any influential person, there should be immediate and strict legal action against them. BSP has this saying and advice too.
The BSP chief said that UP Chief Minister came late to take action especially in the recent case of harassment of Dalit daughter in Azamgarh, but it is a good thing. But in case of sisters and daughters, further action should be taken immediately and with time, it will be better.
