Sources said that the Russian aircraft took off from the aircraft vessel INS Vikramaditya (INS Vikramaditya). He said that a high-level inquiry has been ordered into the incident. INS Vikramaditya is part of the Malabar military exercise, which is attended by navies from India, the US, Australia and Japan. The Indian Navy has a fleet of around 40 MiG-29K aircraft and some of them are operated by aircraft.

Apart from this, a MiG-29 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed and caught fire in Chuharpur village of Nawanshahar in Punjab in May. But during this time the pilot managed to get out of the aircraft safely.
