Modi Diwali Gift For Central Government Employees: The country’s economy was hit hard by the corona crisis. Most people in particular lost their jobs. As well as gone without employment. Even large corporations have made cuts in the salaries of their employees. However, even at such a critical juncture, the Narendra Modi government at the Center has given a big gift to central government employees during the festive season. Announced the launch of the Special Festival Advance Scheme to provide relief to employees who are already in financial difficulties with Corona. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday announced that all central government employees can get an interest-free advance of Rs 10,000 in the form of a prepaid rupee card. Loans in the form of prepaid card are available to Central Government employees. The scheme will be available till March 31, 2021. Money must be used on this card by March 31. Festival Advance can be spent anywhere. Repayable in a maximum of 10 installments. Nirmala, however, said the bank would bear the interest paid by the employees and the charges. Under this scheme about Rs. 4,000 crore is expected to be distributed. Another Rs 8,000 crore is likely to be disbursed if the state governments come forward.
Expansion of LTC facilities till 25 September 2022
Union Aid Minister Jitendra Singh said the government would provide LTC (Leave Travel Concession) facility for central government employees to visit the northeastern states, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Jammu and Kashmir for two years. Travels have become difficult under corona lockdown conditions. As a result, they could not use this facility. That is why the government has converted these LTCs into cash vouchers.

Jitendra Singh said that travel allowance will be given to the employees for coming to LTC (LTC) along with paid leave. Apart from this, it is also possible to travel to these states through private airlines. Central employees can book economy class tickets for air travel. The minister of state for aid said unqualified government employees could also travel by plane. All these facilities have been extended till September 25, 2022.
Central employees who can go with family or alone can now plan holidays in the Northeast, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Jammu and Kashmir. In fact, the government provides LTA to central employees. Under this, employees and officers can get travel allowance if they go anywhere. In which employees or officers can go with their family or go alone. Most of the travel expenses are covered under LTA. There are certain restrictions on cash vouchers issued under the Leave Travel Concession. With these occupants employees can simply buy non-food items. They must also be GST exempt items of more than 12 per cent. These are required to be purchased in digital form only at GST registered outlets.
