UIDAI gave information
According to UIDAI, now BHIM users will be able to send money using Aadhaar card number to people who do not have phone or UPI address. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has revealed that people who use BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) can send money using Aadhaar numbers to recipients without a phone or UPI address. It was told that users will soon be able to take advantage of this facility.
BHIM app is providing facility
Let us tell you that BHIM is a UPI based payment interface, which allows the user to do real time fund transfer using mobile number or name. According to UIDAI, in BHIM the beneficiary’s address shows an option to send money using Aadhaar number. It was told that in order to send or transfer money using the Aadhaar number, the user has to enter the 12-digit unique Aadhaar number and press the Verify button.
After clicking on this button the system will verify the Aadhaar linking and populate the beneficiary’s address and the user will be able to send money as per the information provided by UIDAI. As per UIDAI, the money will be credited on transfer to the bank account of the recipient chosen by him for availing DBT/Aadhaar based credit. The special thing is that if you have accounts in more than one bank and all are linked with Aadhaar, then all the user accounts can be used to make digital payments.
