Monsoon in India: Monsoon is expected to reach Mumbai between June 9 and June 10. However, the people of UP and Delhi will have to bear the heat for some more time.

Monsoon in India: Mumbai residents have been suffering from the humid heat for some time now. Now there is good news for them. Monsoon is going to enter Mumbai soon. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon is expected to reach Mumbai between June 9 and June 10. However, the people of UP and Delhi will have to bear the heat for some more time because the monsoon will reach Delhi by the end of June. On June 6, the monsoon has arrived in the Konkan district of Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department estimates that it will spread across the state in the next 4 days.

Monsoon reached India on 30 May

Monsoon arrived in India on 30 May. Monsoon has already entered Sikkim, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Puducherry and Karnataka. Apart from this, monsoon has also reached some parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Due to cyclone Ramal, monsoon has reached early in many states. However, it is not necessary that monsoon will reach other states before the scheduled time. It will depend on the future conditions.

When will it reach Delhi-UP

Monsoon is expected to reach Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand by June 15. It is expected to reach Himachal Pradesh, some parts of Uttar Pradesh by June 20 and Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab by June 25 to 30. Monsoon is expected to reach western areas of Rajasthan and rest of the country by July 5.
