MP Weather Alert: 42% in 12 districts, up to 18% less rain in 19 districts

Madhya Pradesh News: On one side there was heavy rain in MP, while on the other side the water fell very less, many districts of the state were not completely wet.

Bhopal. The month of Sawan has passed. If Gwalior-Chambal is left out, then the rest of the areas of Madhya Pradesh (Madhya Pradesh News) could not be completely submerged. According to a data, so far 27.28 inches of rain has been received in the state, which is only one percent more than the quota fixed in the month of Sawan. In 19 districts of the state, there has been less rainfall up to 18%.

According to the Meteorological Department, only the Gwalior-Chambal area remained the place where there was more rain than normal. 12 districts of Malwa, Niwar, Bundelkhand, Mahakaushal have received 21% to 42% less rainfall than normal. The districts which have received less than normal rainfall include Damoh, Chhatarpur, Balaghat, Jabalpur, Katni, Panna, Seoni, Barwani, Harda, Dhar, Indore, Khargone districts. At the same time, there are 19 districts including the capital Bhopal where there has been less rainfall ranging from 4 to 18%.

Flood in Gwalior-Chambal

On the other hand, if we talk about Gwalior Chambal, then there has been more rain than normal. Because of this, the situation of floods was created. According to the data received from the Meteorological Department, Sheopur district has received 123% more rain than normal, while Guna district has recorded 114% more rain. There were 4 low pressure areas in the season, but all four did not have an effect in most parts of the state. The low pressure area in Gwalior Chambal was slow, due to which there was more rain than normal.

Heavy rain forecast in 13 districts

Heavy rain alert has been issued in 13 districts of Madhya Pradesh . While drizzle continues in the districts of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Chambal divisions. The Meteorological Department (IMD) says that there is a possibility of good rain for the coming few days. Some places heavy and some places there will be heavy showers.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rain in Sheopur, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopurkalan, Agar, Shajapur, Jhabua, Betul, Rajgarh, Narsinghpur and Chhindwara districts. While there will be less rain in the districts of Ujjain, Gwalior and Chambal divisions. On the other hand, there will be drizzle in some districts of Bhopal, Gwalior, Chambal, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Sagar, Rewa, Hoshangabad and Indore divisions.

So it’s raining

According to the Meteorological Department, the Monsoon System is being formed due to the ongoing activities over Tamil Nadu, Northeast Rajasthan, Northwest Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha-Marathwada regions. The Monsoon Trough is extending to Northeast Bay of Bengal via Bikaner, Sawai Madhopur, Tikamgarh, Sidhi, Jamshedpur and Balasore. A trough is passing from Marathwada and Vidarbha to East-central Arabian Sea.


Another trough is also passing from Northeast Rajasthan to Tamil Nadu via Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha-Telangana-Rayalaseema. Three monsoon systems are affecting the state. Due to the moisture in the weather, continuous rain continues in the state. This system will be active for the next few days. After this, other systems will maintain the chances of rain in Madhya Pradesh.
