Mumbai Local Trains Cancelled: Big news! 200 Mumbai local trains will be cancelled for 2 days! There will be a major block on these dates

Mumbai Local Trains Cancelled: Due to the reconstruction work of the abutment of bridge number 20 between Mahim and Bandra, there is going to be a major block on the night of 24/25 and 25/26 January, 2025. Due to which many trains of Mumbai division are going to be cancelled and many trains are also being diverted.

Mumbai Local Trains Cancelled: There is important news for passengers traveling to and from Mumbai. Western Railway said that due to the reconstruction work of the abutment of bridge number 20 between Mahim and Bandra, there is going to be a major block on the night of 24/25 and 25/26 January, 2025. Due to which many trains of Mumbai division are going to be cancelled and many trains are also being diverted. Let us know why this major block is happening and on which routes trains are being cancelled.

Why was there a major block?

Major blocks will be taken by Western Railway on the midnight of 24/25 January, 2025 (Friday/Saturday) and 25/26 January, 2025 (Saturday/Sunday) in connection with the reconstruction of the South Abutment of Bridge No. 20 between Mahim and Bandra stations. This block will be taken on 24/25 January 2025 from 23:00 to 08:30 on Up and Down Slow lines and from 00:30 to 06:30 on Down Fast line.

Similarly, on 25/26 January, 2025, block will be taken on Up & Down Slow lines and Down Fast lines from 23:00 hrs to 08:30 hrs and on Up Fast line from 23:00 hrs to 07:30 hrs.

These trains will be affected on 24/25 January, 2025 (Friday/Saturday)

  • The last slow train towards Virar will depart from Churchgate at 23:58.
  • All slow trains leaving Churchgate after 23.00 hrs on Friday will run on fast line between Mumbai Central and Santacruz and will not halt at Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road, Mahim and Khar Road stations.
  • Similarly, all slow services leaving Virar, Bhayander and Borivali after 23:00 hrs will run on fast line between Santacruz and Mumbai Central and hence will not halt at Khar Road, Mahim, Matunga Road, Prabhadevi, Lower Parel and Mahalaxmi stations.
  • During execution of the work, trains will run on fast lines between Churchgate and Dadar.
  • Some trains of Western Railway and Central Railway will be operated on Harbour lines between Goregaon and Bandra.
  • On January 25, 2025 i.e. Saturday morning, slow and fast trains running from Virar, Nalasopara, Vasai Road, Bhayander and Borivali will run only till Andheri.
  • The first fast train service to Churchgate after the block will depart from Virar at 05:47 and reach Churchgate at 07:05.
  • After the block, the first down fast line train will depart from Churchgate at 06:14.
  • After the block, the first down slow line train will depart from Churchgate at 08:03.
  • About 127 suburban trains will remain cancelled and 60 trains will be partially cancelled on Friday/Saturday.
  • These trains will be affected on 25/26 January, 2025 (Saturday/Sunday)
    During execution of the work, trains will run on fast lines between Churchgate and Dadar.
  • Both slow and fast trains running from Virar, Nallasopara, Vasai Road, Bhayander and Borivali on Saturday night/Sunday morning will run up to Andheri.
  • Some Western Railway and Central Railway trains will run on Harbour lines between Goregaon and Bandra.
  • The last local on Up fast line will be Virar – Churchgate leaving from Virar at 22:07 and on Up slow line will be Borivali – Churchgate leaving from Borivali at 22:22.
  • The last local on the down fast line will be Churchgate-Borivali, leaving Churchgate at 22:33 and the last local on the down slow lines will be Churchgate-Bhayander, leaving Churchgate at 22:26. These trains will be extended up to Virar.
  • The first train after the block on down fast line will be Churchgate-Virar, leaving from Churchgate at 08:35 and the first train on down slow line will be Churchgate-Borivali, leaving from Churchgate at 08:35.
  • The first train after the block on Up fast line will be Virar – Churchgate leaving from Virar at 07:38 and the first train on Up slow line will be Virar – Churchgate leaving from Virar at 07:35.
  • Around 150 suburban trains will remain cancelled and 90 trains will be partially cancelled on Saturday/Sunday.

These trains will remain canceled

  • Train No. 12267 Mumbai Central-Hapa Duronto Express of 25 January, 2025 will remain cancelled.
  • Train No. 12268 Hapa – Mumbai Central Duronto Express of 26 January, 2025 will remain cancelled.
  • Train No. 12227 Mumbai Central-Indore Duronto Express of 25 January, 2025 will remain cancelled.
  • Train No. 12228 Indore-Mumbai Central Duronto Express of 26 January, 2025 will remain cancelled.

Short terminated/originating trains

  • Train No. 09052 Bhusaval-Dadar Special of 25th January, 2025 will be short terminated at Borivali and will be partially cancelled between Borivali and Dadar.
  • Train No. 12927 Dadar-Ekta Nagar Superfast Express of 25th January, 2025 will originate short from Borivali and will be partially cancelled between Dadar and Borivali.
  • Train No. 19003 Dadar-Bhusaval Khandesh Express of 26th January, 2025 will originate short from Borivali and will be partially cancelled between Dadar and Borivali.
  • Train No. 19015 Dadar-Porbandar Saurashtra Express of 26th January, 2025 will originate short from Borivali and will be partially cancelled between Dadar and Borivali.
  • Train No. 22946 Okha – Mumbai Central Saurashtra Mail of 25th January, 2025 will be short terminated at Borivali and will be partially cancelled between Borivali and Mumbai Central.
  • Train No. 12902 Ahmedabad – Dadar Gujarat Mail of 25th January, 2025 will be short terminated at Palghar and will be partially cancelled between Palghar and Dadar.
  • Train No. 59024 Valsad – Mumbai Central Passenger of 26th January, 2025 will be short terminated at Borivali and will be partially cancelled between Borivali and Mumbai Central.
  • Train No. 59045 Mumbai Central – Vapi Passenger of 26th January, 2025 will originate short from Borivali and will be partially cancelled between Mumbai Central and Borivali.
  • Train No. 12904 Amritsar-Mumbai Central Golden Temple Mail of 24th January, 2025 will be short terminated at Andheri and will be partially cancelled between Andheri and Mumbai Central.
  • Train No. 19016 Porbandar-Dadar Saurashtra Express of 24th January, 2025 will be short terminated at Borivali and will be partially cancelled between Borivali and Dadar.

Trains to be rescheduled / regulated

  • Train No. 20901 Mumbai Central – Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express of 25 January, 2025 will be rescheduled and the train will depart from Mumbai Central at 06:15 hrs.
  • Train No. 20901 Mumbai Central – Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express of 26 January, 2025 will be rescheduled and the train will depart from Mumbai Central at 08:15 am.
  • Train No. 22953 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Gujarat Superfast Express of 25th January, 2025 will be rescheduled and the train will depart from Mumbai Central at 06:40 AM.
  • Train No. 22953 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Gujarat Superfast Express of 26th January, 2025 will be rescheduled and the train will depart from Mumbai Central at 08:15 am.
  • Train No. 12928 Ekta Nagar-Dadar Express of 25 January, 2025 will be rescheduled and the train will depart from Ekta Nagar at 23:25.
  • Train No. 14707 Lalgarh-Dadar Ranakpur Express of 25 January, 2025 will be rescheduled and the train will depart from Lalgarh at 10:00 hrs.
  • Train No. 12962 Indore-Mumbai Central Avantika Express of 25 January, 2025 will be rescheduled and the train will depart from Indore at 19:40 hrs.
  • Train No. 12956 Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast Express of 25th January, 2025 will be rescheduled and the train will depart from Jaipur at 16:30 hrs.
  • Train No. 12268 Hapa-Mumbai Central Duronto Express of 25 January, 2025 will be regulated by 45-50 minutes.
  • Train No. 12952 New Delhi-Mumbai Central Rajdhani Express of 25 January, 2025 will be regulated by 20-25 minutes.
