Mumbai Metro New Update: On the inauguration day of Maharashtra, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced concession in metro fare for senior citizens, physically challenged and students up to class 12.
Maharashtra government has given good news for the people of Mumbai. After the new announcement, from May 1, you can travel in Mumbai Metro trains with 25 percent ticket concession. It has been said that senior citizens above 65 years of age, persons with disabilities and students up to class 12 can use this facility on Metro Line 2A, 7.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has given this gift to the people of Maharashtra on May 1, the inauguration day. The CMO said in a statement that this facility is also being extended to thousands of people who have National Mobility Card (Mumbai One).
How to take advantage of it?
Persons with disabilities have to submit proper documents to avail the concession announced by the government. Need to show medical or government certificate. Senior citizens will have to show proof of age. Students need to show their PAN card, parent’s PAN card along with school ID. These are implemented line 2a, 7. Meanwhile, Shinde said his government was giving free travel facility for senior citizens and 50 per cent discount on tickets for women in state transport buses.

Metro 2A (Yellow Line) connects Dahisar A and Doon Nagar in Andheri West, while 7 runs between Andheri A and Dahisar A (Rail Line). A statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office said that the benefit would be extended to thousands of holders of the National Common Mobility Card (Mumbai One). However, this discount will be applicable only for 45 or 60 trips on Mumbai-1 pass.
