Mumbai: There will be a 10-hour major block between these stations on the night of 7-8 September, 126 trains will be cancelled

There will be a 10-hour major block from 00:00 hrs to 10.00 hrs on Saturday/Sunday midnight by Western Railway. The effect of this major block will be seen on many trains.

If you live in Mumbai then there is important news for you. Western Railway will do a 10-hour major block on Saturday/Sunday midnight i.e. 07/08 September, 2024 from 00:00 hrs to 10.00 hrs on up and down slow lines and down fast line between Goregaon and Kandivali stations to facilitate the construction of the sixth line between Goregaon and Kandivali. The effect of this major block will be seen on many trains.

126 trains will remain cancelled

According to the news, about 126 trains will be cancelled due to this major block. Western Railway has informed that some suburban trains will be cancelled/short terminated during this block. According to Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, all up slow line trains will run on the up fast line from Borivali to Goregaon during this block. Similarly, all down slow line trains will run on the down fast line from Andheri.

Trains will run late by 10 to 20 minutes on these routes

Western Railway has informed that during the block period, up and down mail/express trains will run late by 10 to 20 minutes. For the convenience of passengers during the festival, Western Railway has decided to run Samvatsari Special train between Bandra Terminus and Palitana.

Block till September 17 in Delhi Division

Due to non-interlocking work regarding rail connectivity between Palwal-New Prithla (DFCC) yard in Palwal of Delhi Division of Northern Railway, block will be taken till September 17, 2024. Due to this block, some trains of Western Railway will be canceled and diverted. Train number 12903 Mumbai Central Amritsar Golden Temple Mail running from Mumbai Central from 5 to 16 September 2024 will run via Ratlam-Neemuch-Ajmer- Jaipur- Rewari-New Delhi-Ghaziabad. Also, from 5th to 16th September, 2024, train number 12904 Amritsar Mumbai Central Golden Temple Mail running from Amritsar will run via Ghaziabad – New Delhi – Rewari – Jaipur – Ajmer – Neemuch – Ratlam.
