Lahore, ANI. On Monday, a Christian girl was abducted by local Muslims at gunpoint in Youhanabad area of Lahore city in Pakistan’s Punjab province. Sources said the girl was kidnapped by two to three people while she was waiting for a factory vehicle in the area. The accused also threatened the girl’s aides. Political and security analyst Tanveer Arian tweeted that a Christian girl was allegedly abducted at gunpoint from Yuhanabad, Lahore.

The girl’s mother alleges that two to three people abducted her daughter. Another person said that people of Christian community in Pakistan are often victims of such crimes. Minorities are becoming targets in Pakistan, especially in Punjab province. Shafiq, a victim’s family member, said, “Why does this happen to our sister daughters?” Whenever she goes out of work, Muslim men forcibly kidnap her and behave inappropriately with her. He told that the incident happened at 7.30 am while she was waiting for her factory vehicle at the pick up point.

Shafiq also told that two to three Muslim youths carried out the incident. They also threatened other girls present on the spot. We request Prime Minister Imran Khan and other leaders to give us justice. When we reached the police station to lodge a complaint, we were sent back, assuring that the matter would be resolved in two to three days. Such incidents are often happening in Pakistan with minorities, especially Hindu and Christian communities. Girls of Hindu and Christian communities are abducted and forced to convert by Muslims.
