But now the cancellation program of ration cards has been started by the UP government in the state. According to the order issued by the UP government, the names of ineligible people will be deducted from the list of ration cards and now only the needy will get the benefit of free ration. It has started from different districts of UP. In fact, according to the 2011 census, the government’s target of making ration cards has been fulfilled. In such a situation, new ration cards cannot be made.
Names being added on the basis of 2011 population
Now if new people are applying for ration card, then the ration cards of those found ineligible in the investigation are being canceled. The new needy characters are being given the benefit of the ration scheme only on the establishment of the canceled ineligible people’s cards. Names are being added to the national food security on the basis of the population ratio of the year 2011. Let us tell you that the population of the city has doubled in 2022 as compared to 2011.
