Namo Bharat passengers can now enjoy free travel by redeeming their loyalty points. Under the program recently launched by NCRTC, passengers earn loyalty points every time they travel by generating digital QR tickets through the Namo Bharat app or using the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC). By accumulating a minimum of 300 loyalty points, passengers can redeem them for free travel.
Under the loyalty program, the accumulated points of passengers using NCMC cards are credited to the passenger’s NCMC account at the end of each operational day. Passengers can check these points the next day.
How will you get points
For example, if a passenger spends 100 on his travel, he gets 100 points equal to 10, which are added to his NCMC account. Once sufficient points are accumulated, passengers can redeem them.
To avoid inconvenience in redeeming points repeatedly, a provision has been made to redeem five trips at a time. Points equal to the fare of these five trips will be deducted from the NCMC accounts of passengers.
This work has to be done within the stipulated time limit of seven days
The trips obtained by redeeming remain valid for seven days, which means that if a five-trip pass is redeemed, all five trips must be used within the stipulated time limit of seven days.
Passengers using NCMC can check their accumulated points at Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs), ticket readers or ticket counters.
