Namo Bharat train fare & timing: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated a 13-km-long section of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor, reducing the travel time to 40 minutes. This also includes the first underground section of the ‘Namo Bharat’ train. The fare for a standard coach from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South station is Rs 150 and for a premium coach Rs 225.
Namo Bharat train fare & timing: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated a 13-km-long section of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) corridor. This section is from Sahibabad, Ghaziabad to New Ashok Nagar. With its opening, Meerut is now just 40 minutes away from Delhi. The fare for a standard coach between New Ashok Nagar and Meerut South station is Rs 150 and for a premium coach Rs 225. This is also the first underground section of the ‘Namo Bharat’ train. The trains have reserved seats for women, elderly and differently-abled.The RRTS corridor with 11 stations between Delhi New Ashok Nagar and Meerut South is now operational. This service has started for the general public from 5 pm on Sunday. Trains will be available every 15 minutes. The fare for passengers from New Ashok Nagar station to Meerut South station has been kept at Rs 150 for standard coach and Rs 225 for premium coach.

- A 42 km long section of the corridor with 9 stations between Sahibabad and Meerut South is operational for passengers.
- The operational section of the Namo Bharat Corridor will extend to 55 km, with a total of 11 stations.
- From 5 pm on Sunday, the Namo Bharat train will be available to passengers at an interval of every 15 minutes.
- The fare from the first operational station, New Ashok Nagar station, to Meerut South in the direction of Delhi to Meerut is Rs 150 for standard coach and Rs 225 for premium coach.
- With the start of operations on this section, Meerut city is now directly connected to the national capital Delhi through the Namo Bharat train.
- Passengers will be able to travel from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South in just 40 minutes. So far, more than 50 lakh passengers have availed travel by Namo Bharat trains.
- Construction work is going on at a fast pace in the remaining sections of the corridor, i.e. New Ashok Nagar-Sarai Kale Khan and Meerut South-Modipuram.
- In this new route, 6 km of the 13 km section is underground.
- This includes Anand Vihar, a major station of the corridor. This is the first time that the Namo Bharat train will run in the underground section.
- Now connectivity between Delhi and Meerut will be improved further, with trains available every 15 minutes. The train is equipped with facilities, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi and CCTV cameras.
