LucknowĀ After God, if anyone is given the status of God on earth, then he is a doctor.Ā Many of whom are also serving the society not only within the hospital but also outside it.Ā Some are distributing free medicines including treatment, while some are spreading awareness about health in the society.Ā While doing some jobs, some are doing their duty by doing social service after retirement.Ā Kusum Bharti’s report on social doctors related aspects of some such doctors of the city on National Doctor’s Day on July 1.
Be a good person before doctor:Ā
Dr. Aseem Tikku, Head of the Department of Dental Diseases at KGMU, says that a good person will be a good doctor as well, because humanity is very important in the medical profession.Ā This is what I explain to my students too.Ā I remember, there were winter days about 20 years ago.Ā I was returning from Colvin Talukedar College playing matches.Ā There, a woman was trying to hide herself in a nude state.Ā People were passing by seeing him, but no one understood his pain.Ā I took off my sweater and gave it to him.Ā Which she immediately wore and went from there.Ā Although the sweater I bought from London was my favorite.Ā But when I gave it to him, I felt a different kind of happiness.Ā After this incident, he learned that the one who is sharing happiness,Ā It is not in storage.Ā So far, along with making thousands of children and elders aware of oral hygiene, I have also distributed toothpaste.Ā In future, I will educate the children of underprivileged and weak income group.
Aware of adolescent girlsĀ
Prof. Rekha Sachan, a woman and obstetrician at Queenmarie Hospital, periodically informs rural women about gynecology.Ā In which women give information about periodontal irregularity, breast cancer, cervical cancer, etc.Ā Specifically informs adolescent girls about mental hygiene.Ā He told that it is very important to have information about gynecological diseases in adolescence.Ā

Former member of the Central Homeopathic Council and Homeopathy Physician Dr. Anurudh Verma says, the sense of social service was from the college time itself, which is still intact.Ā So far in the Corona era, I have distributed free homeopathic medicines to thousands of people from Corona infection.Ā Inspiration for social service has come from mother and father.
Do social activity in groups every month:
“We have a friend group of about 15 people, who have been doing social service for the last 10 years,” says Dr. Pushpala Shankhawar, professor and gynecologist at Queen Mary.Ā Apart from the doctors in the group, people from other fields are also included.Ā We all contribute to each other and help people by going to villages and slum areas on Sundays every month.Ā Apart from ration, clothes, fruits, stationery etc. is distributed to the children.Ā During the lockdown, people of Sapera village in Gosainganj were transported with ration and necessities.Ā I got inspiration from social service from my parents.

Women are aware about cancer:
“I have been in the medical profession since 1995,” says Dr. Uma Singh, professor and female and obstetrician at Queen Mary, KGMU.Ā Often used to help people.Ā But for the last four years, I have been working on cancer problem in women on a large scale.Ā To make women and adolescent girls aware of cervix, breast and other cancers, I do social activity programs.Ā I have many more doctors with me.Ā We have also adopted a village outside Lucknow, where cancer, including hygiene, are doing education awareness.Ā The village has already improved a lot.
