NEET UG 2024, Medical College Admission Process: To get admission in the renowned medical college of the country, it is necessary to clear a tough exam like NEET. The results of NEET UG exam 2024 have come out and this year more than 50 percent of the students have cleared this exam. Candidates can take admission in medical college on the basis of rank and cutoff. If you have given NEET exam this year and your name is in the merit list, then know what will be the next step now. After the release of NEET result, what is the complete process till admission?

After the release of NEET result, category wise cutoff is released by NTA. This year’s cutoff has been released. According to the data, the cutoff of general category has increased this year. After the NEET result, counseling of students is done, in which students are given seats on the basis of marks. The counseling process will start after a few days, NTA will soon release the counseling schedule. To participate in the counseling process, students will first have to register by visiting the NTA website.

  • Choice Filling: After successful registration, log in to your account and click on the choice filling option. Here, you have to select your preferred colleges and courses from the available options based on your NEET UG rank.
  • Locking Choices: Once you have filled in your choices, review them carefully before locking your preferences. Make sure to finalise your selection before the deadline to avoid any changes later.
  • Mock Seat Allocation: The Medical Council Committee (MMC) will conduct a mock seat allotment process to give candidates an idea of ​​the likely seat allotment. This step allows candidates to assess their chances and make an informed decision before the actual seat allotment.
  • Mock Seat Allocation: If required, candidates can edit or change their preferences after the mock seat allocation. Based on the results, you can rearrange your preferences to increase your chances of getting your preferred seat.
  • Final Seat Allotment: MCC will do the final seat allotment based on the choices filled, NEET UG rank and availability of seats in the respective colleges. Once the seats are allotted, candidates can download their allotment letter and proceed with the admission process at the designated institute. After the allotment letter, the process of contacting the college and submitting fees and documents, etc. has to be completed.
