Actually, given the danger of infection of corona virus, India-Nepal border is still sealed. Despite the stoppage of traffic, Lagan Rai, a resident of Sitamarhi district, had gone across the border to meet a female relative with his son. In this sequence, the Nepal Police was trying to drive them away from the border. It is being said that if the father-son asked for a little delay, the APF (Nepal Armed Guardian Force) fired sticks on his boy. Lagan dragged Rai 100 meters away from the border and then took him hostage.
According to the villagers, seeing this action of the Nepal Police, some youths playing cricket on the border and people working in the fields opposed this action. After this the Nepal Police started indiscriminate firing. However, on behalf of the Nepal Police, it is being told that they have fired in their security. They allege that Indians were trying to snatch his gun. Nepal police is also telling them smugglers.
