Abhishek Raj, Haldwani: Nepal’s attitude is becoming increasingly bitter as India reaches the China border through the Lipulekh-Garbadhar route. First it included three Indian regions in its map and now it is going to make 89 new border outposts along the border with India. There are plans to deploy about ten thousand armed guard forces.
In these BOPs, eight BOPs will be made in Kanchanpur district, three in Dadeldhura, one in Kailali and one in Baitadi on the border with Kumaon in Uttarakhand. For the second time in a month, the IGP Darchula of the Nepalese Armed Guardian Force is coming to visit the construction work. He is also reported to have accompanied the Nepali army chief, but no official confirmation has been made from Nepal.
Paschimanchal after Mission Terai
In the changed situation, Nepal has now started the Paschimanchal campaign after the mission Terai. Its aim is to connect the far-flung border areas of development to the mainstream of development. Apart from this, Nepal will also increase military activities here rapidly. Along with the BoP, the number of armed forces has to be increased. Under this, BOPs are being established in Hilsa, Mustang, Manang and Darchula.
Vigilance on china border too
According to the Nepalese Ministry of Home Affairs, one BOP each will be made at Tapaljung and Olangchung on the northern border with China. Recently, the Armed Forces have also set up BOPs at Humla and Hilsa Naka on the Chinese side.
One BOP plan every three km
Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa aka Badal is preparing to set up a BoP every 3.5 km along the Indian border. He had consulted the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli along with the IGP of the Armed Forces force in the past. Under this, there is a preparation to start recruitment of sentinel force there.
