Amrit Bharat train will be run from Saharsa not to Delhi-Amritsar but to Mumbai. PM Modi will flag it off virtually on 24 April. From Saharsa, it will go to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai via Samastipur, Patna.
Bihar’s second Amrit Bharat Express train will run from Saharsa to Mumbai. Earlier, it was planned to run this train from Saharsa to Amritsar via Delhi. However, according to the latest information, it will be run from Saharsa to Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Pataliputra (Patna) to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus station in Mumbai. Railways have also announced its time table. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this train virtually from the proposed program in Madhubani district on 24 April. PM will launch a total of 4 new trains in Bihar from this program, including a Vande Metro i.e. Namo Bharat train.
Amrit Bharat Express train will leave from Saharsa at 5 am and will reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai at 3 pm the next day. Currently, the Humsafar train running on this route takes 35 and a half hours. In Amrit Bharat, this journey can be completed in 34 hours. This train will start from Saharsa and reach Mumbai via Khagaria, Hasanpur, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Pataliputra (Patna), Danapur, Deendayal Upadhyaya Junction (DDU), Itarsi, Bhusaval. The timing of return from Mumbai has not come yet.
The rack of the new Amrit Bharat station has already reached Saharsa. Railway officials are testing it. Half of the coaches have been commissioned, the rest are likely to be completed by Sunday. DRM Vinay Srivastava of Samastipur Railway Division reached Saharsa for inspection on Saturday. He said that on April 24, PM Modi will virtually flag off 4 new trains. This will provide convenience to the passengers.
It is being speculated that right now the Saharsa-Mumbai Amrit Bharat train can be run once a week. Because only one rack of it has been given to Samastipur Railway Division. This rack will go to Mumbai and then come back to Saharsa. After the arrival of the second rack, its frequency can be increased in future.
The Amrit Bharat Express running between Saharsa and Mumbai has a total of 22 coaches. Apart from sleeper and general coaches, it has two engines in the front and back. Based on push-pull technology, this train runs at a faster speed than normal express trains. Its design is like Vande Bharat, although it does not have air-conditioned coaches.
Memu trains will run from Saharsa to Pipra and Samastipur
Apart from Amrit Bharat, PM Modi will also flag off two new MEMU trains from Saharsa on April 24 by showing virtual green flag. A new passenger train will be run between Saharsa to Pipra via Supaul. Apart from this, MEMU passenger train will run from Saharsa to Samastipur via Khagaria, Alauli.
Vande Metro will run between Patna-Jaynagar
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate Bihar’s first Vande Metro train. It will run between Patna and Jaynagar (Madhubani). It is also called Namo Bharat Express train, which runs on the rack of Rapid Rail. Currently, Vande Metro train is running only between Ahmedabad and Bhuj in the country.
