colony. In view of the road safety month going on in Basti district of UP, the district administration has taken a big decision, if any vehicle is challaned more than three times, its limit will be cancelled. In this, the administration has decided that whether it is a small vehicle or a big vehicle, if the people driving them do not improve their habits, then challan is not an option.
Rules made under the leadership of the commissioner
The vehicles have been standardized by the district administration, RTO and police administration. Whether it is a school vehicle or a loading vehicle, whoever violates the traffic rules will be challaned. If the school vehicle does not have character verification of the driver or if the vehicle does not have a permit or if the school vehicle takes more than an hour to reach home to the children, then in such condition challan action will be taken against the school vehicles.
Vehicle drivers will not need to go to the police station for character verification, they can go to uppolice.gov.in and upload their data on Citizen Services and get their verification done. For this, they will have to pay a fee of only Rs 50, while action will be taken against vehicles loading more than their capacity under overloading. Challan action will also be taken on the vehicles parked on the side of the highway.
