300 government liquor shops will open in the capital
In the national capital, instead of private liquor shops, more than 300 sales centers of the Delhi government will take place. Officials said on Wednesday that instead of the Excise Policy 2021-22, the old system is now being restored and this change will come into effect from Thursday.
Contracts of about 250 private liquor vendors are currently operating in Delhi, who were given licenses under the now withdrawn Excise Policy 2021-22. Excise officials said that with the opening of more contracts, the supply of liquor will improve from the first week of September.
The number of shops will be increased in the coming days
A senior Delhi excise official said, “At present there are around 250 private contracts which will be replaced by more than 300 government sales outlets. In the coming days, the number of contracts will increase as the Delhi government plans to open 500 such shops. information will be given.
