New Namo Bharat Train: New Namo Bharat train will start running between these cities in June. For this, preparations are going on rapidly from NCRTC. Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro will be operated in three phases in Meerut.

Namo Bharat train will start running from Modipuram in Meerut to Delhi in June. For this, preparations are going on rapidly from NCRTC. Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro will be operated in three phases in Meerut. According to NCRTC, Meerut-Delhi Rapid Rail Corridor will be operated by June in any case. For this, the work of giving final touches is going on continuously on the 23 km corridor between Meerut South and Modipuram in Meerut. Under this, there is preparation for operation in three phases.

Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro will be operated from Meerut South to Shatabdinagar in the first phase, from Shatabdinagar to Begumpul in the second phase and from Begumpul to Modipuram in the third phase. The first phase will be completed till Shatabdinagar by the end of March, till Begumpul in the second phase in April-May and till Modipuram in the third phase by the end of June.

People’s journey to Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi will become easier

The 82 km journey from Modipuram in Meerut to Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi will be covered in 50 minutes on the corridor. Currently, the 55 km journey is being done between Meerut South and New Ashok Nagar, which takes about 35 to 40 minutes.

There will be 13 stations in 23 km in Meerut

Apart from Begumpul in the Rapid Rail Corridor in Meerut, Meerut Central and Bhainsali are also underground stations in Meerut, but only Meerut Metro facility will be available on these. The facility of Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro will be available only at Meerut South, Shatabdi Nagar, Begumpul and Modipuram stations in the city. A total of 13 stations are being built in the city in the 23 km section for Meerut Metro and Namo Bharat. Of these, Meerut Central, Bhainsali and Begumpul are underground, the rest are elevated.

Puneet Vats, CPRO said, “NCRTC is fully prepared to start the services of Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro by June 2025 at any cost. The target is June and we will achieve this target.”
