New rules from 1 July 2025: Many big changes are going to be implemented from 1 July 2025, which will directly affect the pockets and daily tasks of common people. The rules for important works like railway ticket booking, credit card payment, online wallet transaction and PAN card are now changing. Also, the railway is going to increase its fare. The price of LPG cylinder is fixed on the first date of every month. If the cylinder is expensive then the kitchen budget will automatically deteriorate. These small changes can have a big impact on your budget.

1. Travelling by train will become expensive

Indian Railways is going to increase passenger fares from July 1, 2025. This is the first time the fare is increasing after the Corona epidemic. The fare for non-AC coaches will increase by 1 paisa per kilometer and for AC class it will increase by 2 paisa per kilometer. However, there will be no change in the fare of local and general second class for a distance of up to 500 km. There will be a marginal increase of only 0.5 paisa per kilometer on second class travel of more than 500 km. At the same time, there will be no effect on Monthly Season Ticket (MST).

2. New way of booking railway tickets

If you often travel by train and book Tatkal tickets, then this news is for you. From July 1, there will be a change in the process of Tatkal ticket booking. Now while booking tickets from IRCTC website or app, an OTP will be sent to your mobile. Unless you enter this OTP, the ticket booking will not be considered complete. This will improve the ticket booking system.

3. New charges on credit card and wallet

HDFC Bank has implemented some new charges for credit card users. Now if you spend more than Rs 10,000 per month on gaming apps like Dream11, MPL or Rummy Culture, then you will have to pay an additional 1% fee. The same charge will also be levied on loading more than Rs 10,000 in wallets like Paytm, Mobikwik and Freecharge. Apart from this, if the payment of utility bill (electricity, water, gas etc.) is more than Rs 50,000, then this extra charge will be levied there too. At the same time, card users will have to pay a fee of 1% even if the monthly expenditure on fuel is more than Rs 15,000.

4. There is also an impact on withdrawing money from ATM

ICICI Bank has changed the rules regarding ATM transactions. Now if ICICI customers withdraw money more than 3 times in a month from any other bank’s ATM, then a charge of Rs 23 will be levied on each additional financial transaction and Rs 8.50 on non-financial transaction. This will increase the cost of using ATM.

5. New system for credit card bill payment

According to the new rules of RBI, now all credit card bill payments can be made only through Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS). This will affect platforms like PhonePe, CRED and BillDesk, because currently only 8 banks have started this facility on BBPS.

6. New rule related to PAN card

Now it has been made mandatory to provide Aadhaar card for making a new PAN card. If you already have both PAN and Aadhaar, then it is also necessary to link them. Time has been given till 31 December 2025 for this. Failure to link on time may result in a fine or the PAN card may become invalid.

7. Prices of LPG cylinders will be fixed

The prices of LPG cylinders are fixed on the first of every month. Like every time, this time also the prices of domestic and commercial cylinders will be fixed on 1 July.
