Rules change from 1 May

From railway ticket booking to the charge for withdrawing money from ATM, many big changes are going to happen on May 1. So let’s know what changes can happen from May 1.

ATM Cash

The new rule of the Reserve Bank is going to be implemented from May 1, 2025. According to this, if you withdraw cash from ATM, deposit or check balance, then you must know these new rules. In fact, from May 1, if the free limit is crossed, an extra charge may have to be paid on every ATM transaction. The fee on cash withdrawal will increase from ₹ 17 to ₹ 19 per transaction. The balance check fee will now increase from ₹ 6 to ₹ 7 per transaction.

Railway Ticket

From May 1, 2025, there is going to be a big change in the train ticket booking process. The new rule of the railways is going to affect ticket booking, fares, refund process etc. From May 1, waiting tickets will not be considered valid in sleeper or AC coaches. Travel can be done on waiting tickets only in general coaches. The advance reservation period has been reduced from 120 days to 60 days. From May, the railways can also increase three major charges.

Gas cylinder price

The price of LPG cylinder changes on the first of every month. In such a situation, this time also on May 1, 2025, the price of gas cylinder may be less or more. Changing the price of cylinders is going to have a direct impact on the pocket of the common man.

FD Rate

From May 1, 2025, there may be some important changes in the rules of FD and savings account. These changes may also include interest rates. According to the instructions of RBI, there is a possibility of increase in ATM withdrawal charges at present, although the interest rates of FD and savings account are not clear yet.

Margin of RRBS in 11 states

From May 1, 2025, the scheme of merger of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) can be implemented in 11 states of the country under “One State, One RRB”. Its objective is to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. The 11 states are Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan.
