New Vande Bharat Train: Jharkhand is going to get another Vande Bharat gift soon. Preparations have started to run the Vande Bharat Express from Tatanagar to Banaras in July. For this, high tension facility has been started by upgrading the washing line number three of Tatanagar station. Here the coaches of Vande Bharat trains will be repaired and washed. At the same time, the work of laying GI pipes has also started.
However, the railway officials of Tatanagar have denied any information in this regard. Experts say that from September 2024, work has started in the Railway Board on the plan to run a sleeper model Vande Bharat train from Tatanagar to Banaras (600 km). In August 2024, high tension wire was run for the first time in washing line number one of Tatanagar for Vande Bharat train. Currently, Vande Bharat trains run from Tatanagar to Patna in Bihar and Berhampur in Odisha, while from September 2023, Vande Bharat trains from Ranchi and from September 2024 from Rourkela to Howrah run up and down six days a week via Tatanagar. Passengers from Bihar-Uttar Pradesh will be comfortable, as there is no daily train facility from Tatanagar to Banaras right now.
Railways will build a new sick line in Loco Colony
Railways will build a sick line in Loco Colony for the repair of Vande Bharat trains. It is said that a survey for building a sick line was conducted in June 2024 itself. A proposal to build a new sick line in Tatanagar from Chakradharpur division has been sent to South East Zone. Work will start as soon as approval is received, because due to washing, repair and inspection of Vande Bharat trains, there is a problem in cleaning other trains. According to sources, the railway wanted to build a maintenance center in Kudada, but the plan was shelved because it was too far from the station. The railway is planning to build a sick line where two Vande Bharat trains can be repaired simultaneously.
