Vande Bharat Express Train: The exercise to run a new Vande Bharat Express between Patliputra Junction located in Patna, the capital of Bihar, and Gorakhpur Junction has also started. After the Railway Board approved the joint proposal sent by East Central Railway-Northeast Railway, brainstorming is going on to run it in both the zones.
The total distance of 397 km between Patna and Gorakhpur will be covered in just five to six hours by this train. Currently, the three trains running between Patliputra and Gorakhpur take eight to ten and a half hours. This train will run from Patliputra Junction to Gorakhpur via Sheetalpur, Khaira, Mashrakh, Gopalganj, Thawe Junction, Kaptanganj Junction.
Status of trains going to Gorakhpur
Passenger train 55007 departs from Patliputra to Gorakhpur at 5 am and reaches Gorakhpur at 4:30 pm. 05079 covers the distance from Patliputra to Gorakhpur in 8 hours 55 minutes. Train number 15079 departs from Patliputra at 3:15 pm and reaches Gorakhpur Junction at 11:55 pm.
