New Vande Bharat Train: A new Vande Bharat Express will be run by the Northern Railway administration between Lucknow and Meerut. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually flag off the train from Meerut to Lucknow on August 31. The train will start running from Lucknow from September 1, while from Meerut from September 3. The train will cover a distance of 458 km in seven and a quarter hours.
The operation of Vande Bharat Express between Lucknow and Meerut will be regular from September 1. Its booking will start soon. The train will run on all days of the week except Tuesday.

Senior DCM of Northern Railway Lucknow Division Rekha Sharma said that train number 22489 Lucknow-Meerut Vande Bharat Express will depart from Lucknow at 2:45 pm. The train will cover a distance of 458 km in 7.25 hours. The fare for AC chair car will be 1500 to 1800 rupees, while the fare for executive class will be 2 to 2.5 thousand rupees. The fare has not been announced yet.
