Along with this, the security cover on the Howrah-Mumbai railway route will be more stringent, because in the budget, emphasis has been laid on the Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system called Kavach to prevent rail accidents.
An announcement has been made to allocate funds for this in the budget. Railways has emphasized on infrastructure. With this, new lines will be laid and more equipment will be installed for safe operation. Auto signal system will be installed from Tata to Kharagpur.
There is a preparation to change the train operation from Rajkharsawan to Rajgangpur of Chakradharpur division. Provision of funds has also been made in the budget for the fourth line in Chakradharpur division. An official of Chakradharpur Railway Division said that in the budget, allocation has been increased in many items to promote yard expansion, station development, passenger facilities and security system. Due to this, South East Zone is expected to get more than 5000 crores for development in Chakradharpur and Ranchi divisions of Jharkhand. Apart from this, emphasis will be on survey of new railway route apart from foot overbridge, over bridge, subway.
In the budget, provision has also been made for allocation of funds to the railways for old schemes, which was announced in the last budget. Passengers of Tatanagar and Chakradharpur divisions have high expectations from the budget. In the budget, work will start on doubling of Kandra-Namkum railway line and Ilu-Silli line, Tata-Badampahar railway line. There is a possibility of allocation of funds in development schemes. Secondly, there will be an announcement to replace the old track, so that the speed of trains can be increased. Apart from this, to prevent accidents, the railways will start the work of installing armor system on its entire track.
Experts say that funds have been allocated to the South East Zone for safe operation and station development plan on Chakradharpur division and Howrah-Mumbai railway line, but railway officials are not in a position to clarify anything until the Pink Book arrives.
