Along with this, the government is also considering connecting Kanpur, Sitapur, Rae Bareli and Bareilly through a high-speed corridor. After its construction, reaching Lucknow will be easier than other cities of UP.
What is the complete plan of Railways?
All efforts are being made to connect Lucknow and Kanpur through high speed metro corridor. The railways also plans to cut down the two-hour journey between Kanpur and Lucknow by 30 and 45 minutes. Currently, 110 trains operate between the two cities.
In which weekly trains are also included. Lucknow and Kanpur are the commercial and cultural centers of Uttar Pradesh. And daily there is movement of goods and people on a large scale between the two cities.
Earlier, the administration was considering starting RRTS trains between Lucknow and Kanpur. However, that proposal has now been scrapped. Now it is being considered to run Vande Metro trains under the Vande Bharat project.
After the construction of the Lucknow-Sitapur corridor, the 89 km long journey will take only 50 minutes. This will bring huge investment in both the cities and will bring rapid change.
What will be the route of the train?
The coaches of these trains will be similar to Rajdhani Express. 200 new coaches will replace the old coaches. Apart from this, Indian Railways will also run Vande Bharat train between Delhi-Kanpur and Lucknow.
Delhi-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will stop at Bareilly and Moradabad. And after that will go to Lucknow and Kanpur.
Let us tell you that the Vande Bharat train has automatic doors, air-conditioned coaches and revolving chairs. This chair can be rotated up to 180 degrees. The train has GPS system, CCTV cameras, vacuum biovacuum washrooms.
