New Vande Bharat Train- A Vande Bharat Express train is already running in in this state. This is the second train running on this route.
Vande Bhart Express: Vande Bharat Express will soon run from Howrah in West Bengal to Puri in Odisha. Railway has done the first trial of semi high speed train on this route, which has been successful. Now it will have two more trials. On their success, Vande Bharat will be available for passengers.
Running of Vande Bharat Express will save about 1 hour to reach Puri from Howrah. Currently the fastest train on this route is Puri Shatabdi Express. It takes 7 hours and 35 minutes to reach Puri from Howrah. Whereas, Vande Bharat completed the distance of 500 kilometers in 6:25 minutes in the trial.
The trial of Vande Bharat Express was done on 28 April. This train started from Howrah at 6.10 am and reached Puri at 12.35 pm after covering a distance of 500 kms. This train left Puri at 1.50 pm and reached Howrah at 8.30 pm. The maximum speed limit of the train between the two stations was 130 km/h. In the trial, the officials of Railway’s Safety, Engineering and Commercial Department traveled in the train.
There will be 14 coaches
The Vande Bharat Express running between Howrah-Puri will have 14 coaches. This includes chair car and executive class coaches. Vande Bharat Express has all kinds of state-of-the-art facilities for the passengers. Due to which the journey will be comfortable and the passengers will be able to reach the destination in less time. At present, 14 Vande Bharat Express trains are running across the country.
Vande Bharat Express will run for 3 days
However, no date has been announced yet regarding commercial operations. But, it is believed that this train will start running only in May. It will run three days a week. Railways will operate it on Monday, Friday and Saturday. This train will start from Howrah and reach Puri stopping at Kharagpur, Bhadrak stations. Will do Running of Vande Bharat Express will benefit pilgrims and tourists coming to Puri from all over the country including West Bengal.
Vande Bharat running between Howrah-New Jalpaiguri
Presently Vande Bharat Express train is running between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri. This train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 30 December. If the Puri Howrah Vande Bharat Express train becomes operational, it will be the second Vande Bharat Express to run in West Bengal.
