New Visa Rule: Big news! This country has made a big announcement regarding Visa, check new rule here

New Visa Rule: The country has made a big announcement on visa. Know in detail what are the new rules.

New Visa Rule: Thailand, famous all over the world for tourism, is soon planning to make a big change in one of its biggest sectors. According to the country’s Tourism and Sports Minister Sorawong Thienthong, Thailand is planning to halve the number of days for foreign tourists staying without visa to 30 days. Actually, Thailand is taking action against those tourists who are taking advantage of this exemption and promoting illegal trade.

Increase in illegal trade

Thailand has allowed passport holders of 93 countries to enter the country for tourism for 60 days from July 2024. Surawong said that different ministries have agreed to reduce the 60-day period. Meanwhile, the Thai Travel Agents Association has expressed concern over the increasing number of foreigners working or doing business illegally in the country. According to the Bangkok Post report, the Thai Hotel Association has said that the long visa-free period may be partly responsible for the increase in the number of condominium units being rented illegally to foreign guests.

Tourism is the only support

Tourism is playing an important role in Thailand’s currently sluggish economy. The government has set a target of attracting more than 40 million foreign tourists this year. If this happens, it will break the record of 2019. Between January and March 9 this year, 7.66 million foreign tourists have arrived in Thailand, which is 4.4% more than last year.
