New Visa Rule: Millions of Indians work in the Gulf country Saudi Arabia. In such a situation, Saudi Arabia’s new rule is a setback for those Indians who were planning to go there under work visa.

Saudi Arabia Work Visa For Indians: There is a big news for Indians planning to go to Saudi Arabia on work visa. Saudi Arabia has tightened the work visa rules. Now people wishing to work there will have to go through the pre-verification process of their professional and educational qualifications.

Saudi Arabia has taken this decision to improve the country’s labor standards and maintain high quality. This rule is part of Saudi Arabia’s ‘Vision 2030’ plan, which aims to strengthen the country’s economic and social structure. This rule can prove to be difficult for millions of Indians who were hoping to get a job in Saudi Arabia under work visa.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs of India, more than 24 lakh Indians work in Saudi Arabia. The group of Indian immigrants is the second largest expatriate community in Saudi Arabia. Apart from Saudi Arabia, lakhs of Indians are also working in Gulf countries like UAE, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait.

What is the pre-verification process?

The Saudi government proposed the pre-verification process six months ago before issuing work visas. Its main objective is to control the number of workers, keep in mind the limited seats of training centers and set high professional standards in the labor market.

What to do for a work visa?

Job offer: First of all, you have to get a job offer letter from a Saudi company. The company will give you an offer letter certified by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the Saudi Chamber of Commerce.

What documents will be required?

Passport valid for six months, complete visa application form, two passport size photographs, signed employment contract, attested educational or professional certificate, medical fitness certificate, police clearance certificate.

With all these documents, you have to submit your application to the nearest Saudi embassy or consulate.
