FASTag will be Inactive After 31 January: If you drive then you will also have FASTag. A big update has come out regarding FASTag. National Highway Authority of India has issued an update. It has been told by NHAI that important work regarding Fastag should be done before January 31, otherwise it will be closed. NHAI has announced that KYC (Know your Customer) of Fastag must be done before January 31. If KYC is not done then your Fastag will be closed after 31st January. In such a situation, while crossing the National Highway, you will face difficulty in paying toll and there may be trouble in traveling also.

FASTag will not work after January 31!

According to the information given by the National Highway Authority, Fastags of those with incomplete KYC will be cancelled. The authority said this while emphasizing on the campaign of One Vehicle One FASTag. Let us tell you that with this campaign the experience of driving on the National Highway will become even better.

There will be further improvement in toll collection!

To increase the efficiency of the electronic toll collection system and provide seamless movement at toll plazas, NHAI has launched ‘One Vehicle, One Fastag’ initiative. It aims to discourage user behavior of using a single FASTag for multiple vehicles or linking multiple FASTags for a particular vehicle.

It is necessary to complete the KYC process

Apart from this, NHAI is also encouraging users to complete their KYC process. According to RBI guidelines, completing the KYC process is mandatory for all users. According to NHAI, if there is valid balance but incomplete KYC, Fastag will be deactivated by the bank.

Focus on ‘One Vehicle, One FASTag’

To avoid any inconvenience, it is necessary for the users to get KYC done. Apart from this, ‘One Vehicle, One FASTag’ will have to be followed and all FASTags issued earlier through their respective banks will have to be discarded. For more information you can call the nearby toll plaza or customer care.

NHAI received many complaints

Let us tell you that recently NHAI had received a complaint that many Fastags have been issued on the same vehicle and their KYC has also not been done. Apart from this, many times FASTag is deliberately not applied properly on the windscreen of the vehicle. Due to this there is unnecessary delay at toll plazas.

Fastag has brought a revolution in electronic toll collection in the country. With a penetration rate of 98 percent and 8 crore users, Fastag has become a very fast system. One Vehicle, One FASTag will be easier to operate and the experience on the National Highway will be better.
