No Fly List : The budget session is going on. The government has presented the budget and discussions are in full swing regarding the new income tax bill. Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Ministry shared a data in the House which said that in the last 3 years, 255 passengers have been put on the No Fly List by airlines. Let us tell you who the government includes in this. Due to which mistakes the common man is put on this list.
What is no fly list
As the name of the no fly list suggests, it is a list in which no one can fly. In simple terms, the no fly list is a list in which the airline puts those people who commit some mistake during travel and do not behave properly with the staff. You may remember that a few days ago a man, in a drunken state, urinated on an old lady. Such people are put on the no fly list by the airlines. When a person’s name is put on the no fly list, he cannot travel on any plane for a specified period of time.
According to data shared by the Civil Aviation Ministry, a total of 82 people were placed on the list in 2024, while the number was 110 in 2023 and 63 in 2022. Minister of State for Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol said in the Rajya Sabha that passengers were placed on the list due to incidents of misbehavior, quarrels and assault on the crew, among other reasons.
Timing of appeal
Any person who is put on the no-fly list by the airlines has the opportunity to appeal to the committee constituted by the ministry within 60 days from the date of issue of the order, in which he can present his side and also answer why a ban should not be imposed on him.
