Russia is wreaking havoc by attacking Ukraine. People are running away from the country. Russia is being condemned all around. Meanwhile, the war is being condemned in Russia, especially in the Russian media. In one such case, the entire staff of a Russian television channel resigned live on air after the message “no war” in the final broadcast.
According to media reports, the Russian authorities suspended the operation of ‘TV Rain’ for its coverage of the Ukraine war. Natalia Sindeva, one of the founders of the channel, said ‘No To War’ in her last telecast. After this the employees walked out of the studio. A video of this is going viral on social media.
The TV Rain channel later said in a statement that it had suspended its operation “indefinitely”. Following the resignation of all staff, the TV Rain channel played the ‘Swan Lake’ ballet video, which was shown on state TV channels in Russia during the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991.
